It’s been nonstop here at eskimo HQ for the last few weeks and it’s not slowing down any time soon. For me, two of my main projects have just jumped up a gear and despite a warning that ‘its going to be busy’ from our MD John, I've managed to keep calm and carry on!
Last Wednesday I started with the first of four events in four (working) days. Hull 2020 Champions Big Lunch at the Lonsdale centre was the first stop, followed quickly by joining the Humberside Crimestoppers CSE launch programmes for Goole, Hull and Bridlington.
The Big Lunch had a great reception and a good turn out from the local community, whilst our ‘not in our community’ campaign couldn’t have been received any better.
But there is no rest for the wicked, with our next Big Lunch event being on Monday! And whilst there is no more touring the East Riding for me, working on the next stages of the ‘not in our community’ campaign will be keeping me busy for sometime to come.
If you would like to find out more about the ‘not in our community’ campaign please check out the websitewww.notinourcommunity.org or follow it on Twitter or like our Facebook page.
The doors are also open for our Big Lunch, which is Hull’s only food culture ‘experiment’ from 11.30am until 1.30pm at Edinburgh Street community centre on Monday 17th November. Please bring along any food donation you can. You can keep up to date with any other 2020 champions events on the website. I hope some of you can come along!
