The countdown is on for the Good Communications Big Powwow. On June 8th, we’re bringing senior people from the innovative Movember Foundation to collaborate with creative and marketing together to learn, network and do something good.
The idea for the Powwow is something we have been mulling over ever since Amy, our campaign manager attended the Drum’s Do It Day (you can check out the blog here). Plus, having worked with the Movember Foundation on the Social Innovators Challenge we spotted a mutually beneficial opportunity to introduce an exciting global brand to a community of great communicators who can understand the Movember journey as well sinking their teeth into creative challenges.
Plus, as active participants of Humber Business Week and being based in Hull during its year as City of Culture, the stars are aligned to try something more ambitious!
So, aside from the free food and drink; what will people be doing at the Good Communications Powwow?! We see this is an incredible opportunity to get the creative juices flowing as part of dynamic teams with quickfire challenges set by the Marketing Director and Head of Development at the Movember Foundation. We’ll create and pitch ideas which will hopefully be strong enough to be taken forward to improve men’s help and maybe even be the next global innovation in charitable fundraising.
All this is set at the top floor of the Brynmor Jones Library at the University of Hull. This brings the added benefits of a stunning panoramic view of the surrounding area plus, we’ve even got the National Portrait Gallery display there too… we can’t claim credit for arranging that one though!
The Big Powwow runs from 1 pm until 4 pm with drinks and informal networking after for those who wish to stick around. Get your tickets to the Powwow here!
What is the good communications movement?
eskimosoup formed the Good Communications Movement with a few friends in the communications and community sector to support and bring together individuals together who would like to use their marketing knowledge and resources for good.
Need another reason to join us?
Hull is the UK’s City of Culture for 2017 and now that we have set it off with a bang, it’s up to everyone to show the country and the world what is going on in the city. So, we thought it would be the perfect opportunity to get everyone involved in using their skills to make the world a little bit better!
Humber Business Week, now in its 12th year, is an annual showcase of talent, entrepreneurship, vision and future potential of our region. Through a diverse programme of events, it aims to both inspire and educate.
